Powersports Cleaners

Every time you take your off-road toy for a spin, it inevitably gets covered in a thick layer of dirt or dust. It is incredibly fun to get dirty on a trail or during a race, but if you want to preserve the initial good looks and functionality of your ATV or UTV, you have to get it cleaned up after a day on a muddy course. If your machine is so dirty that you can’t even tell the color of its frame, first and foremost, you need to get your machine pre-soaked with water to get large chunks of clay and dried mud wet.

Use a pressure washer or simply spray your quad or side by side down with a hose. Let it sit for a few minutes so that water can enter all the deepest grooves saturating and loosening dried dirt. After that, blast your machine with a strong spray of water to force all caked mud off. If you don’t have a pressure washer, you can use a standard hose with a nozzle. Be sure to focus your efforts on the dirtiest parts of the vehicle – the wheels and fenders. After that, it is time to use detergent. You can apply it by hand or utilize a rotating brush.

In our online store, you can find a wide range of cleaners for your powersports vehicle, sourced from some of the most reputable manufacturing companies such as Cycle Care, Bike Brite, Bike Master, Liquid Performance, Original Bike Spirits, and many others. Most of the times, motorcycle care products will do when it comes to cleaning your UTV, ATV, snowmobile, or even personal watercraft. A high-quality cleaning solution can easily tackle all dirt, grime, grease, dead bugs, brake dust, and so on. You just apply the cleaner with a plush microfiber wash mitt and rinse it off to get a streak-free, shiny surface.

If you wash your machine daily, avoid using cleaning products containing gasoline solvents and other aggressive chemicals. You may need to use a degreaser spray to get rid of oily spots that may appear in a chain drive area. When washing is done, it is time for drying. An air compressor can help you blow water off from all the nooks and crannies preventing rust and oxidation in hard-to-reach spots. If the pressurized air is unavailable, a clean, soft, lint-free towel will do the trick. It is not recommended to let your machine dry on its own because water may leave a residue.

To make plastic, rubber, and leather parts look like brand new again, you can apply a special conditioner. If you notice some scuffs and swirls on the glossy parts, you can make them smooth and shiny again by using scratch removers and polishing products. Many manufacturers offer easy-to-use spray and wipe detailers that can give your machine a clean, glossy shine. You can clean, polish, and protect your Lexan, Plexiglas, or acrylic windscreen while giving it a water-repellent, anti-fogging coating. Don’t forget to lubricate your drive chain, clean, wash, and oil a foam air filter to prolong the service life of your vehicle.
