PCI Race Radios Powersports Communications & Gear
Today, PCI is known as a supplier of intercoms, CB radios, Bluetooth modules, microphones, cables, adapters, and many other products designed and built to provide reliable communication with superior sound quality. All communication systems of the company are professionally tested by its own race teams in the most challenging driving conditions to make sure they provide performance drivers can rely on any time. All products come in a myriad of styles and designs to meet any off-roaders’ needs. But whatever the option you go with, quality and durability are what you’ll get.
Established more than four decades ago, PCI Race Radios has managed to grow into one of the leading manufacturers in the racing industry. However, it remains a family-owned business. The history of the company actually began in 1972, when Bob Steinberger made communications in three vehicles driven by B. Stroppe, W. Evans, and J. MacPherson who dubbed him Weatherman. In two years, Steinberger created the first radio relay. That was made possible by sending up 3 weather balloons with attached 500 feet of coax.
The company expanded its product portfolio to include both full face and forced air helmets along with inserts and liners, shields, pivot kits, and other accessories you may need to restore, maintain, or store your helmet. Its lineup of safety equipment also includes driving suits, kidney belts, helmet skirts, neck supports, etc. The company is now guided by Bob’s son, Scott Steinberger who is also an avid off-roader with over 35 years of experience. He is known as a veteran of NORRA Rally and Sonora Rally. After many years of racing in a trophy car, Scott has his sights set on UTV riding. This is when he built his first custom UTV.
