Product Details

Universal 100W Heavy Duty Harness & Relay (H4 Bulbs) (230004HW) by Putco®. If you're upgrading to higher wattage bulbs, the Heavy Duty Harness & Relay should be used to upgrade your factory wiring.

This Heavy Duty Harness & Relay allows you to safely install higher wattage bulbs in your vehicle. Changing to 100W bulbs will almost double the current draw in the lighting circuit. Since the circuit was not designed for this current, there is a risk that the wiring and connectors will overheat, melt and short circuit.

Once the Heavy Duty harness is installed, instead of powering the headlights with the vehicle's wiring harness, which could result in overheating and damage, now the vehicle wiring only operates the heavy duty relays supplied with the kit. The relays, in turn, control a heavy gauge harness that powers the headlights directly from the battery. Part numbers equiped with relays will bypass the power draw from the headlight switch by pulling power directly from the car's battery, this will increase your light out-put on your headlights and you can still use your factory headlight or foglight switch!

Parts equiped with relays are not intended to work with vehicles equipped with DRLs.

Good Quality Harness
This was easy to install but i think for some more detailed instructions would help.

Never Again
I purchased a set of these and they got so hot that after 3 hours total of having my lights on the lenses melted.
