    OEM Style CDI Box by Rick's Motorsport Electrics®. Polaris split the years on most applications; please refer to the following OEM#s before ordering: 3086982 & 3087029. Rick's Motorsport Electrics, Inc offers both OEM style aftermarket replacement CDI boxes. The only real way to test your CDI box is to swap it out with another known good unit from the same year/make/model. Because of this, Rick's recommend that you rule everything else out before replacing the CDI box. There are so many factors that can cause a CDI box to go out, which is why it's the only product that Rick's sell without a warranty.     I'm happy. Around half the cost of the original Honda unit and in talking with Rick's Tech support I think this may be even more reliable. One thing did concern me and that was the sticker that said no warranty no returns. Rick's themselves will handle the one year warranty on this part. As far as performance, other that the option of going 1,000 RPM more than stock it feels just like the Honda part. It is potted like others but Rick's uses a softer, more pliable substance that should seal better.

    Save yourself the headache, just buy one from Rick’s the first time. If not you will be buying another one anyway.
