All of Viper ATV winches are designed in Minnesota where the company is headquartered. There are several series including the Elite, Max, and Midnight, and their pulling capacities range from 2,500 to 6,000 lbs. Any of these winches is the result of many years of experience and improvements developed for reliable performance, but still, there are some differences. The top-of-the-line Elite series boasts an IP67 waterproof rating and features a permanent magnet motor, sealed planetary metal gear train, special branded synthetic cable, automatic brake, wireless remote system, and stainless-steel hardware.

The Max series has an altered construction and comes with a synthetic or steel cable. Its main features are quite similar to the Elite, however, only those models whose capacity is 3,500 lbs or higher, have an IP67 rating. Also, the Max line lacks such a quiet greasing system as in the Elite. Both of these lineups are suitable for ATVs and UTVs. Besides, there are wider Viper UTV winches specifically designed for side-by-sides; they are present in both series and named the Wide Spool. As for the Midnight, it's the simplest model offered by the company, but still, it's reliable and functional enough thanks to metal gears, mechanical load holding and dynamic brake, and other features.
