Excellent Quality, Minor Quibbles
I have yet to finish wiring the switch into the cab for this light but the quality of this bar overall is extremely high. It ships supported in a cardboard box, in a sealed aluminum mylar bag, inside another poly bag. To say it is protected for transit is an understatement. The quality of the aluminum extrusion and anodizing is flawless. It seems very durable and well put together, and the dimensions are such that it fit between the grille and bumper of my F-150 so that it almost looks OEM. You cannot find a thinner, more compact light bar. I have yet to fire it up but I've seen photos of its performance and it should do very well. The curved nature spreads the light much better than a straight bar and allows it to match the curvature of the bumper and grille for a blended appearance. Installation difficulty depends entirely on how and where you plan to mount it. I bolted mine through the bumper with black oxide 1/4" bolts and lock nuts (not included) with the legs tucked UNDER the bar (opposite to what's shown in the photo). That gives an extra measure of theft protection. The main challenge with this method is the cable exit on the bar is on the bottom and interfered with the bolt head; if the cable exited via the rear or had the option to, that would be more ideal. I was not a fan of the rubber jacket that loomed the wiring harness. It is good quality but I believe a bit less durable to abrasion than loom, and if under-hood appearance is important to you and you want all of your wiring to look congruous you can put loom around the harness as I did. The weatherproof connectors at the end of the harness and bar are excellent although I found the ring terminals for +/- to be too thin and far too large in diameter. Workable but you might want to crimp on something smaller depending on where you're connecting it. A basic switch is included with the kit but unless you're mounting the light close to your firewall, the harness will not be long enough to reach into the cab. Expect to need extra wiring. Not difficult, just follow the color code directions included with the light. Getting the wiring into the cab will likely be more difficult than connecting it. This light is very expensive as far as light bars go and there are definitely competitive options, however nothing comes close to matching the dimensions of this light and I wanted it to fit between the bumper and grille. Ultimately you have to pay to play so decide if this is worth it to you. I felt it was and I'm very happy with how it turned out.
