TigerShark is a brand name of personal watercraft (PWC) or jet skis produced by the North American Arctic Cat company from 1993 to 1999. Founded in 1960 by Edgar Hetteen, one of the snowmobile pioneers, today Arctic Cat designs, manufactures, and markets all-terrain vehicles, side-by-sides, and snowmobiles. Starting in 1993, the company produced a line of compact, agile, and affordable jet skis, which still attracts buyers today. The earlier models were named after famous beaches, such as Montego, Daytona, or Monte Carlo and were powered by a 639 cc engine good for 62 hp (Montego), 67 hp (Monte Carlo), or 72 hp (Daytona and Barracuda). In 1995 the TigerShark 900 was added to the lineup featuring a 900 cc motor producing 100 hp.

For 1996, TigerShark offered new Daytona 770 and Monte Carlo 770 models powered by a 768 cc 90 hp engine. Then, the most powerful Monte Carlo 900 with an 896 cc motor was packing 105 horses. Even though these TigerShark jet skis came with an affordable price tag, they had a fair share of technical issues. To improve their situation on the market and paint the new image for their products, TigerShark made some major strides in the right direction making many changes in the company. The build quality of TigerShark jet skis became much better. The whole model range was renamed the TS*** where “***” indicated the engine displacement in cubic centimeters. The lineup included such models as the TS640, TS770, TS770R, TS1000R, and their longer versions, the TS640L, TS770L, and TS1000L. Unfortunately, these changes were made a little too late, and competitors simply outperformed the TigerShark personal watercraft. Their production was stopped in 1999 due to lack of sales.
