A quality and properly lubricated camshaft is a durable part, which needs no special maintenance and can serve as long as the engine itself. Larger lobes of a racing cam provide more lasting valve opening, which increases the quantity of air-fuel mixture in the cylinders. The third often feature a stock size and profile, but thanks to special technology, their lobes become tougher and more wear-resistant than those of their factory counterparts.
